Land registration describes the systems by which ownership of land can be recorded to provide evidence of title. There are two registries in the Republic of Ireland which are managed and controlled by the Property Registration Authority, namely 1. The Land Registry (registered title) which registers the title, and 2. the Registry of Deeds (unregistered title), which registers the Deed of ownership itself and not the title
