Falls, Trips and Slips*

Who hasn’t had a fall at some time? Usually, the only thing that is bruised is your ego, but there are times when what seems like a relatively minor fall can cause significant injury. Injuries can include back pain, sprained or broken ankles or wrists, head injuries or concussion. If you sustain a fall due to the presence of a danger or a hazard created by others you may be entitled to compensation for any injuries suffered.

It may be as simple as slipping on oil left on a supermarket floor which was not properly cleaned up or not properly signposted or, tripping on a road where repairs were not properly completed, and the location was not isolated to prevent access. Indeed, it is usually such errors that can cause significant injury.

At our initial meeting we will, assess your case, discuss with you the merit of bringing a claim and explain the legal processes involved. We will then work with you in gathering information on the accident or incident that led to your injury and represent you in bringing your claim. It is our primary intention to ensure that our clients receive the best possible outcome from a financial and personal perspective and we vigorously pursue claims to achieve this.

If you have had such an accident and it was not your fault you may be entitled to compensation. If you would like to find out if you are entitled to make a claim as a result of a slip or fall please contact us by filling out our online personal injury enquiry form (see the banner at the top of the page), or you can email us at info@nmslaw.ie or telephone us at 021 4877390 for advice
